My art on video

I am testing out to see how this handles..I did a video to a friend of mine about my art.  I am considering doing Patreon and they upload a lot of videos..well..I don't have the best of video equipment now just my laptop.  This is a test run to see how this works then I can seriously consider doing videos through my laptop till I can afford a better camera set up..we all have to start somewhere.

I first started this last year during October, inspired by one of my friend's poems, yes Corey from Ghosts of Home we were talking about werewolves and I showed him my original drawing, said I really should do it as a painting and I started it but didn't finish it, now back to work on it.

That was the original sketch done years back so as you can see it was really rough but still had the idea of what I wanted only while Red was looking scared (as well as looking like an alien, she looks like E.T.!!)  In the final painting she holds a dagger and she's got this I'm not bothered look about her...she seems down right Fey..quite a difference.

“Happily Ever After”
By Corey Kneedler
It’s cold tonight but you don’t care. Right now you’re safe and warm in my arms. While the wild eerily howls through the cracks of the windows, you feel secure.
Before, when you were all alone, such sounds would have terrified you. Such feelings would have reminded you why you had to escape, why you felt like you weren’t god enough to move on.
But you finally learned to let go this year, didn’t you? Finally decided to let the past die like an old withered tree. I’m proud of you for that.
I’m glad you decided to take that chance you were on the fence about taking. Glad you chose to open the box your heart has rested quietly in for the last five years.
It was worth it, wasn’t it?
As our souls draw near to each other, both of us can feel that it was worth the wait, worth all the pain and the tears it took to get here.
All you had to do was take that first step.
I know it was hard for you. One of the hardest things you’ve ever done.
And I want to thank you for doing that. For being brave again, for your willingness to fall in love again. You are truly the bravest person I know.
The night is still young, and we’ve got plenty of time ahead of us, God willing.
It’s not too late to write new chapters. Not too late to wipe the slate clean and start over.
As it turns out, love really can be found.
There is life after divorce, life after the abuse, the sleepless nights, the cold lonely nights.
Love is still out there waiting for you. All you have to do is take that first step.
You aren’t broken. You aren’t a waste. You are good enough. You are stronger than you were yesterday. You’re worth more than the rarest gem, more beautiful than the Northern Lights.
No one is holding you back but you.
There’s a whole universe of adventure waiting for you. Countless happy memories to be made.
Yes, life is still worth living.
And happy endings still exist.
This could be you.
What are you waiting for?
What are you afraid of?
Take that first step.
Don’t be afraid.
Love is already ready.
And it’s waiting for you.
You just have to find it.
Find your happy ending:

Swing
By Corey Kneedler

She’s a ghost, a vapor burning in the playground’s bubble, trapped amongst the smiling faces, the optimistic glow that each one of them carries.
They all come from realms of stability, planes of a prosperous existence, while she swings up and down into highs and lows, crawling slowly through life as if she were still an infant.
Laughter echoes off the walls of this recreational dome, becoming a piercing shriek that enters the canals of her ears, reminding her of something she’ll never experience.
Behind her mask the tears flow freely. If only they could see. If only they could touch her face and feel the sorrows encapsulated in each and every tear.
Up and down she goes, wishing the chains would break off and she’d fly upward, away from here forever, to a place where she could finally remove her mask, breathe in the fresh air of hope, and dance in fields of jasmine under the warm rays of a comforting sun.
If only she could dream. If only such desires weren’t ripped from her by the poltergeists inside her haunted home.
One day the world will know the beauty she keeps inside. One day the world will know her name, will see her precious face, and they will finally speak her name.

The ART of the HORSE

I love horses, this is one of my favorites from Etsy and there have been a steady influx of painted horses.

I love the design of this piece.  This is a print of the original batik design.
I have never done batik but I love artists who know how to use this unique medium.
I like to stick with my regular oil paints.
I like this one, painted on gessoed wood I love the shaded blue areas on the horse.
The swirls are neat as a background, it's different.

Of course here is mine.  Epona is the Celtic goddess of horses, water and childbirth.
She is here featured with two white horses, I wanted to make the eyes of the horses more expressive like humans.  I want to do more horse paintings.  I have been working on realistically drawing horses but when I paint I seem to go into a more stylized mode.  I really love to express with the paint it just flows so my paintings have a flow.
Horses defiantly deserve to be revered in art.
